IMMIGRATION: THE BASICS

Do you kow a lot about immigration????? Do you think it is a problem or it is on the other hand something that enriches a country? I think that before starting to discuss our opinion about this, it would be a good idea to have some idea of the basic ideas about immigration, so I am supplying a video with the definitions of the most impoortant words related to this topic, which goes with a worksheet I gave to you in class, but which I am including here too in case you could not come to it:

ARE DOGS SMARTER THAN CATS?

Keeping on with the topic of pets, we also discussed whether dogs were smarter than cats or it was the other way round. In order to enhance the discussion, we watched another video dealing with a piece of news which seemed to have proved that dogs are smarter than cats,  because they are supposed to be more friendly, which helped them to develop bigger brains. So it seems that intelligence is related to being friendly!!!! What an interesting remark!!!!

DO PETS HAVE PERSONALITY?

Do pets have personality? We discussed this topic in class thoroughly and we all seemed to think the same: they do.  We gave several examples and we even watched a video which dealt with this topic, showing us that pets seem to have a real close relationship with their owners as they are alike in both image and personality.
